Adding Standards to a Specific Task

Connect curricular standards to a task in your classroom

Adding standards to a task posted in a class activity feed is very easy. You don’t have to be in a specific classroom to do this; you can do it from All My Classrooms. However, picking a specific classroom will save you a lot of time.


Once you’ve chosen a classroom, if you look to the right of an activity, you’ll see a selection of icons. One of these is a target with an arrow in it, which is the “Achievements” icon linked to standards.


Clicking on this target icon will take you to a new screen where you can begin to add some curriculum to the task. Get started by clicking on Add/Remove Standards in the top right corner.


Each category of standards you have will appear at the top of the screen. From here, simply choose a category and check off the standards you want to include. If you change your mind about one, just uncheck it.
When you are finished, click Done Editing and then exit the screen by clicking the X in the top left corner.


Now if you look at the icons on the side of the activity, the Achievements icon will now have a number beside it indicating standards have been added. You can add or remove them from this task at any time using the procedure above.
